Now that the drywall is up at 921 R Street NW it is time to show you the interior design inspiration! Just steps away from the Shaw/ Howard Metro station, this single family renovation is one of our newest projects. With construction in full swing, our design team is already beginning to pick out finishes and specifications to ensure that these units are one of a kind. One of the most sought after locations in D.C. is Shaw, so we wanted to make this project unique. Below are some images of our 921 R St. design inspiration.
After our project The Granville, we fell in love with light grey cabinets! For this project we wanted to use gold fixtures and hardware to make the kitchen a bit more exciting. To incorporate the grey cabinets, we love the idea of Carrara marble countertops with a Carrara marble backsplash. This kitchen will be open to both the living and dining area so we wanted to make sure that it was a kitchen everybody would love.
One of our favorite items is “furniture vanities”. Since this is a single family home, we like the idea of using these unique vanities with a hex or penny marble flooring. In the basement, we decided to use a bold encaustic tile to give that area some character. The tile at Patterson Row had so much great feedback that we wanted to bring it back for this project! In all of the bathrooms we will also be using gold fixtures and hardware for a more trendy update.
One of the most exciting spaces in the house will be the basement kitchen! We have decided to go for dark blue cabinets with glossy black subway and gold hardware. The basement is such a great area that we wanted to enhance the space with a great kitchen color scheme and design.
